This is Ms. Sam’s first year as an IST at the Joseph Sams School. She received her B.S. in Special Education at Georgia College & State University in 2016. She then worked as a substitute teacher while finishing her second B.S. in Disorders & Deaf Education at Utah State University. Ms. Sam holds certifications in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and CPR/First Aid. She is also a CEC (Council for Exceptional Children) member. In 2016, she presented research on Animated Literacy at the Diversity Conference in Fort Valley, GA.
When Ms. Sam has free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, running, playing with her dog, Storm, and spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Sam feels lucky to have found the Joseph Sams school and to work with the children and staff!
