Leah Bear

Leah began working with children with special needs in 1999 as a Nanny for a child with Autism. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida in 2000, she began teaching at the Jericho School for Children with Autism. During her time at The Jericho School she received training in Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior under Dr. Vincent Carbone and worked in the school’s level I and II classrooms as well as their Communication Clinic.

After moving to Atlanta in 2002, Leah began facilitating in-home ABA programs and was the program director of a social skills group “Play for Tomorrow,” from 2003-2007. In August 2007, Leah began working as an Instructional Support Teacher at The Joseph Sams School.

When she isn’t working at JSS, Leah enjoys hiking, reading, knitting and spending time with her husband and daughter.
