Lisa Johnson

Lisa is originally from Michigan, where she attended Eastern Michigan University’s Undergraduate and Graduate School in the Clinical Psychology Program. She began her career at Starfish Family Services, a foster care facility, working with children who had been exhibiting troubled behavior in their foster home.

She relocated to Atlanta in 2000 and decided to pursue her teaching certification in teaching students with exceptional needs. She served as a Paraprofessional in Gwinnett County’s Preschool Special Education Program, working in a classroom with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Later she worked as a Lead Teacher in a similar classroom for a Kindergarten/First Grade split class.

After taking off several years to raise her own children, she is excited to return to the classroom. In her spare time Lisa enjoys bicycling, running, and baking.
