The Extracurricular Program offers optional activities for children including cheerleading, chime choir, Special Olympics, and JSS Explorers (a scouting-type experience).
For both cheerleading and chime choir, there is a $45 activity fee to help defray the cost of instruction, supplies, awards, etc. Cheerleading uniforms (for both boys and girls) cost $100. Both activities meet one day per week immediately after school from 3:00 – 3:30 pm.
JSS Explorers meets one time monthly. JSS Explorers is a scouting-type experience for both girls and boys attending JSS; siblings and friends are also welcomed and are eligible to participate. A $45 activity fee is charged to all participants.
These activities begin in September of each school year.
